Normal website usage
Trees, Water & People has a firm commitment to Internet privacy. You can visit most portions of our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The only information we collect from a normal website visit is the name of your Internet service provider, the browser and type of machine you are using, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request, and the date and time you request them. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of the site to our visitors.
Collection of personal information
Trees, Water & People may collect email addresses and other personally identifiable data about visitors when such data is voluntarily submitted to treeswaterpeople.org; for example, when making a donation or purchasing from our online store. Contact information is used to bill visitors in connection with their donations or purchases. All personal information supplied when making a purchase or donation is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a cryptographic protocol that provides industry-standard 128-bit encrypted secure communications on the Internet for data transfers.
Trees, Water & People does not sell or otherwise disclose such user information outside the organization. However, if you decide to donate to Trees, Water & People, some information on our donor lists, such as your name and address, may be exchanged with other organizations. You may opt out of such donor list exchanges by contacting us via email (data@treeswaterpeople.org) or by phone (877-606-4TWP).

Record Retention Policy
Trees, Water & People expects all employees to fully comply with any published records retention or destruction policies and schedules. The law requires that Trees, Water & People maintain certain types of corporate records, usually for a specified period of time. From time to time, TWP will establish retention or destruction policies or schedules for specific categories of records in order to ensure legal compliance, and also to accomplish other objectives.

Whistle Blower Policy
The Trees, Water & People's Code of Ethics and Conduct ("Code") requires directors, officers and employees to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. As employees and representatives of Trees, Water & People, we must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling our responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
No director, officer or employee who in good faith reports a violation of the Code shall suffer harassment, retaliation or adverse employment consequence. An employee who retaliates against someone who has reported a violation in good faith is subject to discipline up to and including termination of employment. This Whistleblower Policy is intended to encourage and enable employees and others to raise serious concerns within Trees, Water & People prior to seeking resolution outside the organization.
