"Renew the Rockies" (formerly known as "Riverboat the Rockies") is our annual fundraiser. It's a blast! Every spring we put on a great night of "casino gambling" (but you're guaranteed not to lose your shirt!), live music by world-groove musical magicians The Atoll, dancing, and cool stuff in silent and live auctions. Free Odell beer and tasty finger food, too. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in "magical" costumes to add to the fun. It's a no-lose deal! And all the money we raise goes to support our local clean energy and environmental education programs, including the installation of a 10kW solar photovoltaic system at the new Bethke Elementary School in Timnath, Colorado. We're also very excited to be presenting our first annual Renewable Energy Leadership Award to Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, to be accepted on his behalf by Tom Plant, Executive Director of Governor Ritter’s Energy Office, and to the City of Fort Collins to be accepted by Mayor Doug Hutchinson. We will present this award each year to recognize outstanding efforts in promoting renewable energy in Colorado. "Renew the Rockies" will happen March 8, 2008, in Fort Collins, Colorado. The deadline for online ticket purchases has passed, but you can STILL buy tickets at the door at the Lincoln Center! See you there! |
